Optical Illusion Quilt - Jan Krentz
Optical Illusion Quilt class
This visually complex design is the result of clever cutting techniques using a single striped fabric or pre-constructed strip-pieced fabrics. All cut shapes are squares and rectangles, and construction methods are straight-forward.
Jan’s original quilt was cut using a standard 6-1/2” square ruler and rotary cutter. Although it can be done with a standard ruler, it was tricky, confusing and time-consuming!!
To simplify the process, Jan created a 5-piece toolset that will yield the mirror-image shapes for a fool- the-eye optical illusion design. Toolsets will be available for purchase in class.
