Summer and the 4th of July go hand in hand to have a great time, enjoy the sun, fire up the BBQ and see some spectacular fireworks! Let’s get ready for the big day and boost our block library! So, get your quilting shoes on and partake in a square dance, build a log cabin, spot flying geese, create a friendship star and get lost in a nine patch! Put them all together for a spectacular picnic quilt!

- Sewing Machine in good working order (1/4” presser foot if you have)
- Machine Needles – Microtex 80/12 for piecing & Quilting 90/14 for Quilting
- Book - Start Quilting w Alex Anderson
- Thread for machine in light gray or beige for piecing and matching or complementary color
- Fabric Scissors
- Seam Ripper (best friend)
- Pins / Mini Clips
- Rotary Cutter / 18” x 24” Mat / Rulers (6” x 24” & 6 ½” x 6 ½” SQ)
- Small Iron and Ironing Pad
- Thread for Quilting (last class)
- Blue Painter’s tape (last class)
Fabric:
- 2/3 yard Outer Border Fabric – Focus Fabric
- 1/4 yard Inner Border
- (12) 1/4 yards or Fat Quarters
- 1/3 yard Binding
- Batting
- Backing
