TREE-mendous Embroidery Wall Hanging
Here is a getting-ready-for-the-holidays riddle for you...what measures almost 20" tall and almost 18" wide, would look lovely hanging on a front door or wall or as a table topper, is a wonderful holiday symbol, and is done completely on the embroidery machine with no additional sewing required? The answer is this in-the-hoop "tree"-mendous Christmas tree!

My estimate is you need 1/2yd main fabric and ½ yd each backing and fleece batting. YOU NEED TO HAVE ALL PIECES CUT AND LABELED BEFORE CLASS!!
You will need to cut the following sizes for the various parts of the project. For each part of the project, you will cut the main fabric, lining (back) fabric, and firm fleece batting, such as Pellon Thermolan Plus. You should label each stack according to which part of the project it is for.
Trunk: 4½”x5½”
Star: 5”x5”
Tree 1: 4½”x9¼”
Tree 2: 5½”x10½”
Tree 3: 4¼”x7¾”
Tree 4: 4½”x8¾”
Tree 5: 6¼”x3½”
Tree 6: 4”x7½”
Tree 7: 5¾”x4”
Tree 8: 6½”x4”
Tree 9: 5¾”x8¼”
You will also need:
-11 pieces of fibrous dissolvable stabilizer, such as Floriani Wet ‘n’ Gone, to fit the hoop
-1 color embroidery thread and bobbin wound to match
-Embellishments for the final project according to your taste
